DIY Halloween Nail Designs

Happy Halloween! I just wanted to start off with saying, in my opinion, nail art is the simplest way to vamp up your look. So.. in preparation for my spooktacular night out,  I decided to create my own DIY Halloween Nail Designs.

You Need:

* Bourjois' amazing Nail Art Dotting Tool

* Topshops' funky pink Nail Art Brushes

* A selection of bright coloured polishes  i.e) Bourjois and Ciate nail polishes

As you can see, my nail art is not perfect, but that's the beauty of DIY.

1)  I prepped my manicure with a base coat before applying two coats of my chosen nail shades
2)  Then I created my ghastly designs using the dotting tool to create eyes, and the brushes to create hair, mouth and fine details.
3) I finished with a topcoat to gloss up my freaky faces.

My favourite monstrous design is the Frankenstein. These are really quick and easy to create! This bright shade of green by Ciate is the perfect base colour for these haunting faces.

Here are the rest of my terrifying designs:

Concoctions mixology shampoo and conditioner

I absolutely love trying new shampoos and I liked the sound of Concoction, a funky new shampoo brand with a mixology technique. You can customise your own shampoo to perfectly match your specific hair type and colour. The packaging looks like its just come out a science lab with colourful graphics on a clinical white background, making it a fab accessory to my bathroom shelf. I was so excited and intrigued to give this natural essential oil shampoo a whirl.

The steps to making your Concoction:
1. Choose from a selection of four base shampoos (each have different delicious sounding scents, almost good enough to eat: Black Pepper Citrus, Lemon Verbena, Bakhour, or Rosemary & Mint)
2. Choose from eight distinctive shots of superserum, to suit your hair type.
3. Then mix the shots into your shampoo and shake it up.

I chose Black Pepper And Citrus as my base shampoo.

I mixed together Back To Your Roots and Gimme More Moisturiser superserum into my shampoo. I gave it a mighty shake to ignite the magic Concoction…

To top this experiment off, the range offers one White Lily and Cashmere Conditioner that compliments all the shampoos and hair types.

And the result? Well, I must say my hair felt extra glossy and fully moisturised. I'm inclined to think paying more for your shampoo is a worth while investment. This wacky Concoction is a great idea which is appealing, and to me worth every penny.

I noticed the Concoction range is selling in Beautymart Topshop, Oxford circus London and online too at http://www.concoction.co.uk/

What's your favourite mix?

London Fashion Weekend is one of my favourite exhibitions on the fashion calendar. I love the beautiful Somerset House, mix of designer and high street labels, and best of all the people watching.

First up, I spied some stylish visitors.

Then, I watched the catwalk show. Featuring Pretty In Pink:

I then headed to the pop up Label.M hair Makeover Bar, where the fabulous TONI&GUY stylists promised to re-vamp your hair, with a choice of 3 styles.  I chose the side twisted plait.
