Palmer Harding AW15 London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week is upon us once more, where some of the world’s finest designers, alongside the brightest emerging talent, showcase their AW15 collections.

Strolling along the Mall on the way to the show.

Palmer Harding is a brand duo, Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding. I have never been to one of their shows before, but I thought the AW15 collection was beautiful. Having been described in the press as “designers of the world's most perfect shirts” Palmer//Harding is a British brand known best for the directional design and high quality of their modern shirting.

Elegant and contemporary: are two words that I would describe not only the Palmer // Harding's romantic AW15 collection, but the location for the show today. Set within the Institute Of Contemporary Arts, the Parmer Harding collection certainly matched the classic yet modern interior. Winter sunshine streamed in through the large glass windows, delicately lighting up the catwalk. The room was dressed with boxes of golden corn to give an 'outdoorsey' feel. This perfectly set the scene for a monochrome palette of garments to glide effortlessly down the catwalk. I loved the beautiful embriodery and I thought the boho plaited hair and fresh berry makeup gave an edginess to the presentation, for a youthful appeal.

The beauty look created by Makeup Artist Attracta Courtney, featured a range of Bourjois products to create a dark romantic winter berry stained lip, with natural pink flushed cheeks against the innocence of the skin’s matt complexion. I adore Bourjois Velvet Lips, as the colours are long lasting and definitely show-stopping.  This look is very wearable and I can't wait to try it out soon!

I even spied the gorgeous style icons Yasmine and Amber Le bon at the show.

Cheeky parlour

Barber & Parlour is a new funky three-floor beauty/lifestyle emporium on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch, offering various wonderful grooming treatments for men and women. There is a cute Cheeky Parlour for manicures and pedicures, Cheeky Hair by colourist Josh Wood for cool colours, cuts, and up-dos, a Beauty Store stocked with Cheeky products, and a Neville Barber for men's beard trims and haircuts. In my opinion, the Cheeky Parlour is the hottest place in London to get an essential beauty fix...no wonder I chose to pop in, and see what all the fuss is about!!

On the first floor, alongside Cheeky Hair by Josh Wood is a line-up of Cheeky manicure and pedicure services and two small groom rooms for waxing and lash/ eyebrow tinting. The Beauty Store is open plan in the parlour and sells a range of the Cheeky product line and items from Cowshed, Carmex, and Bourjois, among others.

I think the Cheeky Parlour is a funky hangout in Shoreditch, perfect for anyone looking for a good beauty hair and nail touch-up. I love Cheeky's old-school design- it is such a fun place to get glammed up for a night out or even for that casual fix we all love once in a while. Located in vibrant Red church street, the area is ideal. The beauticians were sweet, thorough and the 'simple mani' treatment left my nails perfectly painted.

I went for Cheeky's electric blue nail polish, with a silver tip and sparkles on my index finger!

For a special occasion, or just a casual nail fix, Barbour and Parlour is a fun place to go with a friend. You can have a delicious lunch and a fantastic treatment within a  reasonable price range. The Cheeky Parlour even has it's own 'selfie photo booth ', which is free to use (what more could you want?)
In my opinion, the atmosphere is spot on, with really friendly staff and lots of places to sit and relax while you wait for a nail technician to become available. There is a food and drink area which has a small menu offering cakes, quiches, toasties, juice, salads, tea and coffee. I ordered a gorgeous roast butternut squash salad... And although it took a long time to come, it tasted delicious and the staff were kind enough to delay my nail appointment for a few minutes.

I decided to go for a simple polish mani...and I loved it! My technician was such a perfectionist and she did a fantastic job. This manicure included a lovely hand massage, and the manicurist used an array of Cheeky's products....I need to get some of their Body cream!!

I ADORE the Cheeky range, with their fun cheeky names. I think they really appeal to the teenage market. The packaging is very simple, yet effective, with the cute flamingo outline. Cheeky's nail polishes are vibrant and last a long time, and what's more their colour range is fantastic (you can find your perfect colour)

Overall, I enjoyed my treatment and I would love to pop in to the cheeky parlour again soon! Have you been to Barbour and Parlour?

Valentine's Look 2015

Valentines Day is coming up fast, and I have selected a PERFECT romantic outfit for this saturday. I love a splash of red, whether on the lips or a dress; red is an indulgent colour which can showcase anybody's look. For the makeup, I recommend Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories Palettes to create a sexy smokey eye which can be built up easily to intensify the look (I have blogged about these beautiful palettes here) A darker lip is essential for a good night out, and I love Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in shades Hot Pepper or Nude-ist! Bourjois' CC cream is another great product which keeps your skin looking fresh and super soft (like a baby's bottom) as well as hiding those nasty spots.

All makeup from Bourjois, which you can buy at Beautymart, Asos, Boots, Superdrug.

Black Wonderbra- £32
Clutch Bag- £30
Jewellery (all from Orelia)
Bourjois So Laque Beige Glamour Nail Polish- £5.99

I have put together a selection of different items that will look fantastic on Valentines day. Go for something very simple, like a plain coloured bodycon dress. I like to jazz up my outfits with some beautiful jewellery, including a delicate necklace, a few rings and some bracelets. My fave jewellery brand at the moment is Orelia, as they have the most exquisite fine gold jewellery that I adore! Don't forget to add a nice pair of heels and sexy lingerie to top off your look.

Have a fantastic night out and enjoy! What are you wearing for Valentines day?

Fragrant Friday- Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilette and Hair Mist

If you w
ere to ask me what I think is the most joyful and lively feminine/teenage fragrance on the market today, I would say La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilettewithout hesitation.  La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilette simply is a fun and flirty scent that surprises as much as it captivates and delights!

The name "La Petite Robe Noire" (Little Black Dress)  perfectly represents a wardrobe essential that every girl owns... from classy to sexy, demure to fun, and from elegant to show-stopping!

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire edp and edt

In my opinion, La Petit Robe Noire Eau de Toilette is a lighter version of Guerlain's Eau de Parfum, with the most classy, fresh and sophisticated fruity fragrance that I have smelt in any perfume. I  am not a huge fan of the overly sweet fruity fragrances which seem immature and make my nose crinkle, however, Guerlain has a very subtle and impeccable scent, which creates a perfect balance of Rose, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Cherry, Apple, Blackcurrant and White Amber ( Yes, all these wonderful ingredients come through ever so slightly… but they are not too overpowering)

Guerlain offers several versions of La Petite Robe Noire, five in total, and while still maintaining the same rich Cherry and sweet throughout, each smells unique and each captivating in a different way. As I fell deeply in love with Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noir Eau de Toilette, I couldn't resist getting my hands on their La Petite Robe Noire Hair Mist!
This is my ultimate accessory; a hair mist in the same scent…Yum!! Even though it’s a hair mist, I Iove to use it as a hair mist, body mist, and even an everything mist! La Petite Robe Noire Hair Mist surprisingly it lasts quite long on the skin. Its recipe includes cherry, blackcurrant, fresh flowers and a shower of green notes over a base of silky white musks and white amber…. totally irresistible!  It will make you feel like a cherry-scented goddess!

To top it all off,  I absolutely love the bottle! It's crystalline powdery pink transparency reveals the silhouette of the little black dress, to match its classy Parisian name. I was over the moon when I received a personalised La Petite Robe Noir Eau de Toilette bottle with my name on it…ahhh. I will definitely treasure it forever!!

Please excuse the picture quality… but I wanted to show you my personalised bottle.

Have you tested any of Guerlain's wonderful perfume collection? Which of their perfumes is your favourite?

Winnie Miami Mint Triangl bikini Review

I’m sure you’ve all seen and heard about the online extravaganders Triangl- an Aussie swimwear brand that is famous for it's amazing neoprene bikinisI am definitely a beach bunny and I love to relax on the beach after having endured a few hours of water sports... hot life guards, fun water skiing and coconut water, what's not to like? At first, I was debating between various wonderful styles including, Black neon- pink rush and Molly Rosewolf. However, I was so excited when I ordered my Winnie-Miami mint Triangl bikini. Overall, I am definitely impressed!  Here’s my Triangl review where I’ll go over fit, construction and style benefits!

WHAT IS TRIANGL AND WHAT’S UNIQUE ABOUT THE BRAND?

Triangl – an Australian brand that has a wide collection of  top quality neoprene swimwear and micro mesh underwear with a nylon/spandex composition. Neoprene is a firm and stretchy material used in wetsuits for its excellent thermal insulation. In my opinion, I love that the bikini is thick and substantial, and the suit is completely opaque when it’s dry or wet. All the bikinis lookss so gorgeous.... but I did eventually choose a style for me, and I LOVE my Winnie-Miami Mint!

HOW DOES THE BIKINI LOOK/FEEL ON THE BODY?

The neoprene is such a firm fabric that hugs on the body really nicely and comfortably. The fabric is firmer than normal bikini fabric, but it’s not hard at all.

ARE THE SIZES CORRECT?
Traingl do a great job in being as informative as possible - giving quite precise conversions for their swimwear with their conversion table. Also they give useful information on the sizing of each style of bikinis. I love the fact that the bikini sets aren't just one size for both the top and bottom; you are able to chose separate sizes for each which is great.

I did try on one of my friends Triangl bikinis before hand to make sure the sizing fit perfectly!

Another service Triangl provides is a live online chat with their advisors where you can have a quick chat if you need a little more help, which for me I found really useful. The kind lady I talked to suggested that I should go for an XS in both top and bottom, so those are the two sizes that I went for, and I’m glad I did! Usually bikini tops don’t flatter my smaller bust, but this off the shoulder top looked great.

As for the bottoms, the neoprene is very thick and almost acts like shapewear. The bottom offered a lot of coverage (which I personally prefer). When I swam around in my pool I found that the bottoms clinged perfectly to my body, exactly like a wetsuit.

HOW BRIGHT ARE THE COLOURS?

The Triangl Winnie is available in lots of colours and patterns, but the ones that really caught my eye were Arizona Sunset (orange) and Miami mint (turquoise); I chose Miami mint, as I thought the blue shade would suit my hair colour really well, especially with a tan. All their shades are amazing– they are pastel but neon at the same time!

 IS THE MATERIAL GOOD QUALITY?

Yes Yes Yes! What impressed me the most about this Triangl bikini was the attention to detail, the quality of the fabric and the exceptional build quality of this wonderful bikini The material feels very durable and there are no wonky stitches or loose cotton.

HOW IS IT PACKAGED AND WHAT COMES WITH IT?

My swimwear ame in a stunning Miami mint matching neoprene bag, which I think is a rather lovely touch! I used the bag constantly to carry my must-have essentials to the beach whilst looking stylish!

DO THEY DELIVER INTERNATIONALLY?

Even though Triangl is an Aussie brand, they deliver internationally hooray! Shipping costs vary – in a nutshell, international shipping (including UK) costs 20 USD and for Australia they charge 10 AUD.

WOULD I RECOMMEND TRIANGL BIKINIS? ARE THEY WORTH THE PRICE?

I would  recommend Triangl bikinis! I know they are not cheap at 79-89 US dollars, but having a bikini that really fits well is, in my opinion, worth the investment. My Winnie Triangl bikini gets an A+ in style. The cool colour, Miami Mint is neon and bright, but very flattering. The black piping details add interest and accents the bikini’s scuba suit construction. I found that the bikini was the perfect amount of coverage and I was flattered to receive many wonderful comments on holiday.

The service was great, and I found Triangl's online chat very useful in helping me determine which swimsuit would suit me best. If you’re looking to invest in a quality swimsuit that is also very fashionable, I’d definitely recommend the Triangl Milly bikini. Overall, Triangl is totally worth the hype! I would LOVE another Triangl, and my other favourite style that really want and would like to review is. Triangl are really the talk of the town when it comes to swimwear, so I would advise you girls to check this awesome brand out! They also do underwear, another bonus!

Triangl have recently launched a new bikini style aswell, so get buying, before they all run out!

Do you have a Triangl bikini? What is your opinion on the brand?
